The Port Royal Sound foundation is hosting the Gullah Art of the Sound this week at the Maritime Center on Okatie Highway.  Did you ever wonder how they make those beautiful sweetgrass baskets?  Then you won't want to miss out the Sweetgrass Basket Sewing class on Saturday.  This exhibit will feature local Gullah artists who work in varying media. Featured pieces will include paintings, sculptures, hand crafted baskets and more! A percentage of sales will benefit the Port Royal Sound Foundation.
