Beaufort County Public Schools
Hilton Head High School is an International Baccalaureate School located at 70 Wilborn Road on the island's north end. The school was voted Palmetto’s finest in 2012 and often stands out as a top candidate for the award in South Carolina. A benefit to island residents is the option to receive an IB diploma, the highest ranking of high school studies. CTE, Career and Technical training, prepares students to enter the workforce or college. HHIHS teaches all levels, including AP and CP, and offers college credit. The school offers 26 clubs, ROTC, music, theater, and 18 athletic teams, plus various electives.

Hilton Head Island Middle School is near Hilton Head High School at 55 Wilborn Road. The middle school is an IB school, and its electives include orchestra, band, technology, art, and more. Students can participate in multiple middle school and high school sports.
