McKinnon address the escalating situation that could put some of the world’s largest tech companies in the antitrust spotlight in their article, “Tech Giants Google, Facebook and Amazon…

Celebrating Independence Day 2019—July Fourth

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE by Alfred Cornelius Howland

Fourth of July Parade by Alfred Cornelius Howland

Exhibited at the High Museum of Art—Atlanta, Georgia

After voting for independence on July 2, 1776, Congress turned its attention to the Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining this decision. The Declaration had been prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as its principal author.

A day earlier, John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:

“The second day of July 1776 will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as…

For much of the country, the first quarter of 2019 provided several disruptive weather patterns that contributed to less foot traffic toward potential home sales. Coupled with low affordability, higher prices and an inventory situation in its infancy of recovering from record lows – not to mention several more days of wintry weather in April – slower sales persisted across most residential real estate markets.

Pending Sales increased 7.3 percent to 588. Inventory grew 4.8 percent to 2,403 units. Prices moved higher as Median Sales Price was up 2.4 percent to $319,250. Days on…

It all began in 2005 to focus the inhabitants of Bluffton, South Carolina; the young and old, rich and poor, locals and transplants, as a community, to benefit the citizens, the local area merchants and artists through tourism.

In the words of Dan Wood, Festival Founder:

As Bluffton continues to grow, it is paramount that we continue to introduce our citizens, old and new, to these precious Bluffton gems. Festivals are like magnets; they attract all to celebrate their…

In addition to the quandary of ongoing housing price increases and affordability concerns in many U.S. markets, the first quarter of 2019 saw a fair share of adverse weather as well.
