Although her expertise excels in the nuances of luxury transactions, she also enjoys helping clients in each of their milestone real estate needs, from first-time home-buyers, to empty-nesters, and everything in between. “Whether my client is looking for a $100,000 home or a $10,000,000 home, my dedication and perseverance to surpass their real estate needs is my primary goal,” added Mary Lou. When asked what influenced her decision to give up a successful 24-year career in the financial services industry for a career as a Realtor®, Mary Lou responded, “It is in my blood. Both my husband and I are second-generation Realtors who have been active in the industry as investors in the past. My mother-in-law sold real estate on Hilton Head Island for 30 years and I am excited to follow in her footsteps. I am passionate about real estate, and having a satisfying career doing what I love is a dream come true. I chose to associate with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hilton Head Bluffton Realty (previously Lancaster Real Estate Sales) because of its history in the area and its long standing tradition of excellence in service to its clients.” Mary Lou holds a BA from Gettysburg College and is a native of New Jersey She fell in love with Hilton Head Island while on a college vacation and moved here in 1981 to follow a dream of living at the beach. Here she met her husband, Doug. A job transfer took them away from the island and eventually landed them in Charlotte, North Carolina where they lived for 20 years. In 2007 Mary Lou began her Real Estate career with Lake Norman Realty, Inc. After raising their 2 children Doug and Mary Lou decided to come back to Hilton Head and “live the dream.” They are excited to get back to “their roots” and look forward to what the future holds. Mary Lou is a member of her church music team and in her spare time she enjoys music, reading, puzzles, baseball and trivia.
