A Concept Becomes A Reality!

In 2002, Toll Brothers launched the ambitious development of Hampton Hall on the 1,000 plus acres in Bluffton, off what is now Buckwalter Parkway.

Their plan called for almost one thousand homes on magnificently landscaped grounds surrounding an 18-hole golf course designed by Pete Dye, with its own clubhouse featuring all the amenities and facilities a golfer could wish for.

But the planners wanted to offer more than just a golf community to families of all ages and size, it was important to offer activities for diverse tastes and age groups.

Thus, the master plan included, within the development, a 17-acre Community Life Common featuring an activity center situated on a lake; a health and fitness center with rooms for classes such as dance and aerobics, massage, and equipment-based training; an Indoor pool, function rooms for various clubs and interests; and a cafe. ln addition, Toll Brothers’ design included an outdoor pool, tennis courts, an outdoor cookout pavilion, a clubhouse, bocce courts and 6.5 miles of walking\biking trails.

This was the developers concept in 2002 and as you pass through the grand entranceway, on the west side of Buckwalter Parkway opposite the western segment of Bluffton Parkway, you immediately get the feeling that these developers met their goal.

They created what came to be known as "Bluffton’s Best Gated Community."

As you are passed through the gate by security, you soon come to one of the more spectacular views of the golf course, one of the beautiful lakes and the stately homes bordering both.

Taken from a picturesque bridge, which carries you along Hampton Hall Boulevard, most visitors new to the community cannot help but stop on the bridge to take in the beauty and tranquility before them. Fortunately, traffic is never a problem.

Not Just a Golf Community

Hampton Hall Boulevard is the main artery of the community, leading through the park-like settings, past homes and directly to the center of community events and activities.

To start with, the Hampton Hall Clubhouse is a stately 24,000 square-foot haven overlooking the community’s largest lake of approximately 27 acres, (stocked with fresh water fish for residents ‘Catch & Release). It includes a pub area, outside dining on the screened porch, informal members’ area and a large banquet room. The banquet room can be extended to host private parties, business functions, community gatherings, weddings or children’s events. In addition, there are club meeting rooms, billiards room, card rooms and a library.

Adjacent to the club house is the fitness center with indoor pool and facilities as noted above. Bordering the fitness center is the outdoor pool with its outdoor grilling and picnicking area.

Nearby, within the complex, you will find tennis courts and bocce courts.
