Make 'Someday' Today

Hilton Head is an amazing place with its beaches and tidal marshes, preserves and nature trails, beautiful architecture and gentle neighbors.  It is a place where over a million visitors enjoy a short escape each year and where a great many of those visitors fall in love with–and wish to either immediately move to or retire to–someday.  Are you one of those "someday" people or are you a "today" person–someone who shapes your dreams today and embarks on a vision to make it happen now?

Out with the old…in with the new

As the new year gracefully sets into motion, with it comes purposeful and oft-needed resolutions–a time to start anew.  Before I start anew, however, I shred the old. I rummage through the seemingly endless boxes of papers and folders to make room for…more papers and folders.  My shredder hums as it is gently fed.  There is something soothing in the mincing and grating sound of years gone by.  Then, I systematically arrange new folders which will clutch my confidentials, document my purchaes and stipulate terms of contracts.  In other words, I prepare to conduct business in this new year as I have done each and every year prior.  Not business "as usual" but business in the "new normal".

How is the Hilton Head Investment Real Estate Market?

This multifaceted industry has endured a barrage of negative scrutiny over the past 12 months that has cast it in a very detrimental light; however, it is sustaining itself quite well, despite the extreme exposure.  To be sure, investment real estate is not the dirty term that the mainstream media has made it out to be.  Many Hilton Head real estate investors typically finance only a small portion of the purchase price and, as a result, we have not experienced the high incidence of defaults and/or reposessions resulting in price collapse as has been so common elsewhere.
