Lancaster Real Estate Sales Announces New Location and Expansion
Lancaster Real Estate Sales has relocated its offices to the upper level of The Lancaster Building at 1032 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, S.C. According to Owners Randy Smith and Bill True, the building was constructed in the mid- 1950s and is an Island landmark. Changing the architectural integrity was not the preferred option, yet the company was growing and the upper level was an opportunity to take on the much-needed additional space to accommodate new agents. Smith, Broker-in-Charge and a University of Tennessee business graduate stated, “We have renovated the entire upper level to better compliment the standards by which we do business. The business landscape has evolved and the Hilton Head Island area has experienced many changes over the 30+ years we have been in real estate. Our business model, though, has remained constant—it is based on integrity, service and growth, and Bill and I are continuing to build on our 55+ years of combined real estate sales excellence by welcoming agents with the highest caliber of professionalism in the industry.”

As the new year gracefully sets into motion, with it comes purposeful and oft-needed resolutions–a time to start anew. Before I start anew, however, I shred the old. I rummage through the seemingly endless boxes of papers and folders to make room for…more papers and folders. My shredder hums as it is gently fed. There is something soothing in the mincing and grating sound of years gone by. Then, I systematically arrange new folders which will clutch my confidentials, document my purchaes and stipulate terms of contracts. In other words, I prepare to conduct business in this new year as I have done each and every year prior. Not business "as usual" but business in the "new normal".
This multifaceted industry has endured a barrage of negative scrutiny over the past 12 months that has cast it in a very detrimental light; however, it is sustaining itself quite well, despite the extreme exposure. To be sure, investment real estate is not the dirty term that the mainstream media has made it out to be. Many Hilton Head real estate investors typically finance only a small portion of the purchase price and, as a result, we have not experienced the high incidence of defaults and/or reposessions resulting in price collapse as has been so common elsewhere.
